TO LOVE THE WAY WE DO

It takes understanding, trust and a commitment to be true
No half truths, holding onto the past and singing the blue
No desire to find somebody new or one to fill a temporary void
A willingness to share each other's dreams and help in whatever way possible to make them a reality

To speak about the little things and the big ones too
Be it politics or the colours we like best
Telling "you love" can never be heard often enough
Coz it will keep you together when things get rough

Don't put off for tomorrow what can be discussed today
Be frank and open in just about every way
Plan together and take all decisions based on what's best for "US"
Selfishness can certainly be the factor that will divide the "plus"

Be a partner, a friend, a lover and a companion
But friends are also important, a relationship will not survive on a union
Think positive about yourself and maintain that outlook on life
Beware other people will see the glow and try to take your husband or wife

So remain committed and keep the promise to be true!
